Ok, when you use this as a title for your article, you've gotta include at least one wink to the audience: Uranus Has a Dark Spot

But, no. Not this journalist.

True story from one of my physics classes in college: this was a large lecture class with probably 200 students, since the course was required of engineering and hard-science majors. The professor was rumored to be gay, a fact which is relevant to this story, but only rumored since, this being the 80's in the midwest, many gays were quite reasonably afraid to come out.

Nonetheless, during a lecture on gravitational potential energy, he showed us an example problem about "Kinetic Energy Required to Send a Probe to Uranus."

He did an excellent job of pretending not to notice the snickering.
